Ahoy me mates and welcome back.

I done hope ye summers went well as planned and ye've had a time o' galavant'n about durin tha longer days. But now that bae over and I hope ye bae prepaired for this semester and me best wishes ta ye scholarly works. I hope this here year we can put the past where it done belong. In a heavty bag in Davey Jones' Locker. Har har! I done hope ye've all gotten ye work ye need'd ta bae do'n done in tha committees ye bae on and that these here meetings can bae as civil and short as possible. I done have faith in ye. Lets done show the student body we can do somethi'n for them and we bae here to help. Last year too much o' our legislation involved ONLY us. Lets get the focus back to the students. I bae encouragin' ye ta talk ta ye peers and find out what we can bae do'n for them. And I bae encouragin' them ta talk ta ye. Also ye new members on this here senate remember that ye opinion bae just as important as people that have been here one… two… three… four… five… sigh… six… and seven years and I for one would like ta hear ye speak out may haps more than other voices I bae accustomed to.

And now for an update as ta whats tha Executive branch has been do'n. Over tha summer I done gave a welcome from us ta all tha new students at tha university. And we done had a booth at tha information fair thanks ta tha lassy Mari. Lassy Yesyin can vouch for this. Thank ye too those who went ta tha booth and talked with tha students. A special thanks if ye didn't kill them with long words.

We done protested tha barnacles off o' tha special provisions in tha budget down town. Special thanks ta all ye who sent letters and made calls. Tha independent tuition provision done did tha hempmen's dance. As for tha Budget cuts ta tha university we done protested in tha fall we done a good job and that was reduced.

Tha programs we done bae doing this year we are hoping for the best for. Tha appointments ta all tha positions almost done bae made, and more would bae had 3 days ta put them on tha agenda at tha conformation meet'n been enough. It twas not, therefore I expect all request from ye ta mae ta bae posted 2 weeks in advance of ye requests. Har har I bae jok'n feel free ta come ta me if ye need any help at any time me mates.

On top o' this I done been look'n for a good time to announce 2 new projects we bae under tak'n. We bae giv'n buttons out ta the first 1000 students ta bring A's on tests ta us. As a congratulations, a thank ye for bae'n here and an incentive. Another announcement ye may av' noticed me hair been gett'n longer than tuna's tied tagether. I bae donat'n it ta Locks of Love and encourag'n ye and all tha mates at this here university ta do the same in May. It bae quite a good deed ta do and may haps Locks of Love may come give us a visit. For tha reason I can not count, we also bae putt'n out a banner from Witherspoon and from tha Atrium that done read "Student Government. What Can We Do For You?" with our web address on it in hopes we can do what we bae supposed ta do and help tha student body.

On Thursday tha 18th day of August government relations done put out nuisance ordinance flyers in tha dorms and at apartment complexes in tha area. A thank ye ta DeVan Barbour, Will Langley, Rondel Smith, Sherri Pugh, Vance Blanton, Joe Sevetts, Hayley Gula, Morgan Miller, Mike Hallock, Chris English, Kris Weathers, Matt Webb, Aaron Milano, his matey, and anyone I may have missed for help'n us hang tha flyers high.

On a sadder note me chief o' staff, me own jack o' staves has left his position for personal reasons. We done bae fill'n that role soon with one o' ye old mates Travis Birdsell. Let us have a swell meet'n and thank ye Chancellor Oblinger for Com'n ta talk to us.
